Organizations sign declaration for fast deployment of biomethane in the EU
SEA-LNG has signed a Joint Biomethane Declaration alongside European partner organizations, urging faster deployment of sustainable biomethane to support the EU’s industrial competitiveness, energy security, and climate goals.
The signatories state that rising energy and feedstock costs, along with regulatory pressures such as carbon pricing, are weakening the competitiveness of European industry and limiting its ability to invest in decarbonization. The declaration identifies biomethane as a domestic, scalable, and immediately deployable solution, particularly for energy-intensive and hard-to-abate sectors.
