COSCO invests more than $900 million in four LNG carrier orders
COSCO Shipping Energy has placed a major order to expand its LNG fleet, commissioning four new liquefied natural gas carriers from Jiangnan Shipyard.
The deal, worth about $953 million, is being executed through its subsidiary Future Ocean LNG Investment. Each vessel will have a capacity of 175,000 cubic meters, with deliveries expected between 2029 and 2030. As informed, the investment is aimed at strengthening COSCO’s position in the rapidly growing global LNG shipping market.
