New report finds that bunkering demand is concentrated around 19 ports
Lloyd’s Register Maritime Decarbonisation Hub has published a report providing a global assessment of where alternative maritime fuels, including e fuels and selected sustainable biofuels, are most likely to be produced, exported and bunkered first.
According to the “Building the Sustainable Maritime Fuel Supply Chain” report, sustained uptake of sustainable maritime fuels will depend on supportive policy, but the speed and location of deployment will also be shaped by how quickly supply chains can be built and scaled.
